Which means that along with a whodunit that wasn’t too scary or intense, there was also a lot of good food. This was what I like to call a “cozy kitchen” mystery. Miriam soon finds herself questioning everyone and anyone about the deaths of the two women all while making Picadillo de Pavo and attending her weekly morning Mambo-cise class at the gym. Robert’s evil ex Juliet is around every corner. There’s the doctor selling weight loss suppliment shakes that may or may not be poison. As she begins to investigate the crimes, she realizes that this wealthy suburb of Miami is not as shiny as it seems. Meanwhile, two women in Coral Shores have died suddenly since Miriam arrived. When Miriam is offered a position at a local Spanish language television studio doing a segment on home cooked meals she jumps on it. ![]() Miriam, who has a PhD is a Food Anthropologist, goes from looking for tenured positions to a being a stay at home mom who must contend with her sharp tongued mother in law.
